Experience
PGCE fully trained and experienced teacher for 16 years. I am experienced with all aspects of Geography, and with working with students of all academic abilities and SEND. I am a qualified TEFL teacher too, helping students who do not have English as their first language. I have taught Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and A level. I have taught GCSE for 16 years for OCR, AQA and I-GCSE Edexcel with super results - either helping students who struggle to reach a pass, or inspiring and stretching those who are aiming for the highest grades. As well as home tutoring, I have wide experience of working in state sector and in independent schools. Having been a Form Tutor for years, I pride myself on developing a great rapport with students and their family/carer. I like to understand what my students find tricky, or dull, or curious, and work with them to unlock their potential. I'm a big advocate of learning beyond the classroom - whether the classroom is at home or in a formal setting, so I like to encourage my students to look beyond the books/webpages and develop their own opinions.Availability (UK time)
