Experience
For the past sixteen years I have been a secondary English teacher. During this time I have taught key stage 3 and key stage 4 (including GCSEs in English, English Literature, Media Studies and iGCSE English). During this time I have held a number of roles including Assistant Head of Area and Literacy Coordinator.For the past ten years I have been an examiner for GCSE English Literature which has allowed me to be able to give my students the best possible support and advice. I am also an examiner for English Language GCSE which means I have a thorough knowledge of what is required for this exam course.
I have previously tutored students on a one to one and small group basis, both within school settings and within external tuition settings. This has been across both key stage 3 and key stage 4 English.
